The Feast of Winter Veil is a seasonal event in WoW Classic that starts in mid-December each year. During the Winter Veil event, you can complete several quests and take part in various festive activities. In addition, presents can be opened from December 25th.

When Does Winter Veil Take Place in 2023 in WoW Classic?
The Feast of Winter Veil in WoW Classic started on December 15th, 2023. It is expected to run until January 2nd, 2024. From December 25th, 2023, 5 presents can be unwrapped under the tree in Ironforge and Orgrimmar.
What’s Special About Winter Veil in WoW SoD?
The Season of Discovery (SoD for short) has been running in WoW Classic since November 30, 2023. The Feast of Winter Veil event also takes place in SoD. Since the maximum level in SoD Phase 1 is 25, the Winter Veil event in SoD has been adjusted as follows:

What Winter Veil Presents are Available in WoW Classic?
From December 25th you can open a total of five presents under the Christmas trees in Ironforge and Orgrimmar. For each of the five presents, there is a specific level requirement that you must meet.
AdWhat Other Winter Veil Activities Are There in WoW Classic?
In addition to the quest lines and presents, several other special features await you at the Feast of Winter Veil in WoW Classic. This includes the following items and activities:
- You can find and wear red and green winter hats.
- You can buy, find, or craft snowballs with special effects.
- You can have a PX-238 Winter Wondervolt machine transform you into a festive little helper.
- You can blow winter revelers a kiss to receive a small reward.
- You can purchase various items and recipes from seasonal vendors.
Winter Hats
During the Feast of Winter Veil in WoW Classic, 
Red Winter Hat and 
Green Winter Hat (without stats) drop from random mobs in the world and various dungeon bosses.
The Red Winter Hat drops from the following dungeon bosses:
- Emperor Dagran Thaurissan in Blackrock Depths
- War Master Voone in Lower Blackrock Spire
- Cannon Master Willey in Stratholme Live
The Green Winter Hat drops from the following dungeon bosses:
- Prince Tortheldrin in Dire Maul West
- Darkmaster Gandling in Scholomance
- Goraluk Anvilcrack in Upper Blackrock Spire
Snowballs
During the Feast of Winter Veil, you can purchase 
Snowball from the seasonal vendors, loot it from Holiday Snow piles in snowy areas like Alterac Mountains, or (as an engineer) craft snowballs with the 
SnowMaster 9000. Snowballs can interrupt/knock over party members or teleport you to a flight master.
You can also loot Hardpacked Snowball from Hardpacked Snowdrift in Alterac Valley, which can be used to knock other players back (only lasts 5 minutes, 5 of which can be carried at the same time).
PX-238 Winter Wondervolt Machines
With the PX-238 Winter Wondervolt machines you can be transformed into a gnome with a red or green costume for 30 minutes. You can find the Winter Wonndervolt machines in many larger cities, such as:
- Booty Bay in Stranglethorn Valley
- At the gates of Ironforge in Dun Morogh
- Near the flight master in Orgrimmar
- Near the flight master in Stormwind
- At the Zeppelin Tower in Tirisfal
- East of Gadgetzan in Tanaris
- Menethil Harbor in Wetlands
Winter Revelers
You will encounter Winter Reveler in the inns of the capital and major cities in most areas. If you blow them a kiss using the /kiss emote, you will randomly receive one of the following items:
